Congrats to North Dakota State and Fairleigh Dickinson, who punched their tickets last night despite being underdogs (at least from BracketBot’s perspective). The losing parties, Nebraska-Omaha and St Francis (PA), say their final goodbyes. At least SFU will be able to participate in the NIT, so their season isn’t totally over.

Of course, the big news of the night last night was St. Mary’s upsetting Gonzaga! Now it’s a bit of a mystery where the Gaels get seeded. BracketBot was already a bit higher on SMC than the consensus, so maybe being listed as the top 10 seed is optimistic on its part, but I like it. And my oh my, what a huge win it was. We’ll see which team ends up biting the bullet and losing out on a tournament bid because of SMC’s achievement – at the moment, it’s St John’s, who the Gaels displaced to be the last team in yesterday’s bracket.

Last Four Byes: Clemson, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Temple
Last Four In: Seton Hall, Creighton, Ohio State, NC State
First Four Out: St John’s, Florida, Indiana, Nebraska
Next Four Out: Davidson, Belmont, Dayton, Toledo

Bids by conference:
ACC 9, Big XII/Big Ten 8, SEC 6, Big East/AAC 4, Pac-12/MWC/WCC 2
